Product Description
Polyoxyethylene 10 Castor Oil is a castor oil-based nonionic surfactant, polymerized from castor oil and ethylene oxide. It is a pale yellow, oily liquid with excellent oil solubility, a moderate HLB value, and good emulsifying, wetting, dispersing, lubricating, and antistatic properties. It is resistant to acids and alkalis, hard water, and has stable chemical properties with low foaming.
It is mainly used as a special emulsifier for various mineral and vegetable oils, and is widely applied in metal cutting fluids, industrial lubricants, chemical fiber oils, pesticide emulsifiable concentrates, and printing and dyeing auxiliaries. It has excellent emulsifying and decomposing effects on oils and waxes, excellent compatibility, and a wide range of applications, making it a commonly used high-quality industrial additive.

Applications
- Soluble in most organic solvents, dispersed in water, and possesses excellent emulsifying and dispersing properties.
- In the textile industry, it is used as a major component in spinning oils for synthetic fibers such as polyester, polyacrylonitrile, and polyvinyl alcohol. It has emulsifying and antistatic effects, making sizing yarn softer and smoother, reducing breakage. In chemical fiber sizing agents, it can act as a softening and smoothing agent and eliminate foam in synthetic sizing solutions. HEL-20 also features low coking at high temperatures.
- In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used as an emulsifier in the manufacture of liniments, creams, and emulsions.
- It can be used as an emulsifier for pesticides and emulsion polymerization, and is used in the formulation of water-soluble metal cutting fluids and household cleaning products.
