During fabric weaving, it acts as a softener, reducing breakage and improving fabric feel. In cosmetics, it is used as an emulsifier, typically at a dosage of 1-3%. It also functions as a co-emulsifier for paraffin emulsification and as an emulsifier in lubricant production.
